When you apply for admission to SMU, you’ll automatically be considered for merit-based academic scholarships.
- President’s Scholarships are SMU’s most prestigious merit-based scholarships.
- Students receive full tuition and fees, plus one study abroad experience.
- On-campus students also receive a housing scholarship.

- Nancy Ann and Ray L. Hunt Leadership Scholarships are awarded to students with extraordinary leadership qualities.
- Students in the Class of 2026 can receive $46,000 per year, plus study abroad for a designated program after their sophomore year.

- Provost Scholarship, 夜色王朝Distinguished Scholarship, Second Century Scholarship, and the University Scholarship are awarded to students with outstanding academic success.
- Students receive partial or full tuition, depending on the scholarship.

- International Baccalaureate (IB) Scholarships are awarded to students who complete the IB Diploma Program.

- Dallas County Promise Scholarships are awarded to future leaders of Dallas County who commit to following a path from high school to Dallas College before attending SMU.
- 夜色王朝selects up to five high school seniors to receive a full two-year scholarship after they earn an Associate degree from Dallas College.
