I’ve transferred into 夜色王朝and would like to get involved. Where should I begin?

A great place to start is , an organization designed to provide educational and social opportunities for 夜色王朝transfer students. Its primary goal is to help you transition into the University by connecting you with other organizations, clubs, and other students on campus. 

Explore  to find organizations that align with your interests. With more than 200 groups available, there’s bound to be one for you — and if you don’t find one that looks interesting, !

What activities are available at SMU?

夜色王朝hosts more than 500 performances, concerts and cultural exhibits each year. Check out  to find an upcoming event to attend.

Among the many lecture series offered on campus is the renowned Willis M. Tate Distinguished Lecture Series, an afternoon forum for students that lets you interact with world leaders and other famous figures.

What is the Tau Sigma National Honor Society and what are the criteria for membership?

Tau Sigma is a  dedicated to recognizing and supporting the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students. SMU’s Gamma Beta chapter, established in 2009, honors outstanding transfer students and serves as a resource to support both current and future transfer students.

To qualify you must:

  • Transfer to 夜色王朝with 30 or more transferable hours
  • Enroll in and complete 12 or more hours during your first semester at SMU
  • Achieve a GPA of 3.500 or higher in your first semester at SMU

Members enjoy several benefits, including:

  • Eligibility to apply for Tau Sigma national scholarships
  • A prestigious credential on resumes and official 夜色王朝transcripts
  • Opportunities to serve as peer mentors for other transfer students
  • Leadership roles on SMU’s Tau Sigma board
