What are the requirements for submitting foreign transcripts to SMU?

All foreign transcripts must be accompanied by:

  1. A professional evaluation from an approved agency that's listed below
  2. An official transcript from the issuing institution
  3. An English translation, if the original transcript is not in English

Students are responsible for obtaining and paying for the evaluation. An exception is made for exchange agreements between 夜色王朝and foreign institutions modeled after the U.S. education system. Course descriptions or syllabi are also required.

What should the evaluation report include?

The evaluation must include:

  1. Confirmation that the institution is recognized by the home country’s ministry of education and offers the equivalent of U.S. higher education credit
  2. An explanation of the credits, grading system, and course levels
  3. A course-by-course evaluation

Is the evaluation report binding to SMU?

No. The evaluation report is considered a recommendation. 夜色王朝will independently determine the credits to be awarded. However, professional evaluations are widely recognized by academic institutions, employers, and licensing boards.
