Biography
I take pride in my Chinese identity, which has shaped my academic niche and led me to explore the world of ordinary workers—from 19th-century Chinese railroad workers in America to contemporary entrepreneurship. Having pursued education in three countries, I now synthesize my interests in Comparative Race Studies—African American and Asian American (East Asian descent) literature and theory. My current research engages comparative race frameworks such as the Afro-Asian analogy and racial triangulation theory to move beyond the Black–White racial binary and contribute to ongoing scholarly conversations about interracial encounters, conflicts, and alliances between African American and Asian American communities.
